Syma seems to be the name in Gyro Helicopters these days. At least, as far as my very limited knowledge of gyro helicopters go, they seem to be the brand that crops up a lot. They have a pretty good collection of military and civilian-styled gyros. What's weird is I never really thought of toys like these needing a theme. I mean, isn't getting to fly a helicopter enough? Do you really need to roleplay the experience? Pretend you're a famous weather person in a civilian news helicopter? Or a bad actor in a bad movie about the Coast Guard? Maybe you do. Maybe you don't. Either way, this Syma helicopter is decked out in Coast Guard rescue helicopter colors and has been hugely discounted to 64% off. • 17.3" ASUS A75VM-TB71 Core i7-3610QM 2.3GHz Quad-core Ivy Bridge Laptop w/8GB RAM, 750GB HDD, 2GB GeForce GT 630M for $800 (normally $850 {Savings of $50 / 6% off}) • 17.3" Toshiba Satellite L870-BT2N22 Core i3-2370M, 6GB RAM, 640GB HDD for $500 with free shipping (...

Jul 24, 2012 7:20 PM   This picture is badass. Here you see Navy SEALs demonstrating an exercise called Special Patrol Insertion/Extraction (SPIE) at Virginia Beach. SPIE is what happens when a patrol needs to be extracted from an area where a helicopter can't land. Neat. And routine. But oh wait, is that, pray tell, a WAR DOG ? Why yes, yes it is one of those tongue wagging, barking balls of fur that will lick your face right after they aid you in a top-secret terrorist takedown. What can't WAR DOGS do? I have never flown an RC Helicopter before. I've ridden in several actual helicopters, but I've never actually flown the toy versions. They look like a lot of fun. This 39% off Syma RC Marine Cobra Helicopter Gyro looks pretty serious, too, though. It doesn't want you messing around, but it'll fly anywhere you want to go. Sort of wish this one came with some Nerf missiles that shoot out of it. That'd just make it perfect for flying through some unsuspecting neighbor's open window. I imagine I would end up crashing this helicopter more often than I would land it properly. It seems pretty durable. I mean, it's got words like "Marines" and "Force" and "Warning" plastered across it, so that means it's tough, right? • 15.6" Dell Inspiron 15R 5520 Core i7-3612QM 2.1GHz Quad-core Ivy Bridge Laptop w/8GB RAM, 1TB HDD for $775 with free shipping (normally $989 {Savings of $214 / 22% off} - use coupon code 4J4XPNDZ1PKR2B ) • 15....
