If you ever searched for an app on the App Store or Google Play, you would see an endless list of crappy apps with similar names just tagged as HD or LITE or FREE or PRO. Everybody wants to call their app the same damn thing! Here are the most popular words used in Android and iOS app titles. It makes sense that the words are embarrassingly generic, they're descriptor terms that every dev uses to goose their app downloads. An HD version of an app is a well-accepted notion that it's better. An app that says it's free? Of course that's going to get a lot of love. What's hilarious though is Android's list where words like Wallpaper and Theme dominate the list—people love to customize and blingee their phones! Jul 26, 2012 1:49 PM   Google is now letting you perform searches by just scribbling a few letters on the face of your phone or tablet. Handwrite is a new function on iOS and Android that should help you search for and find stuff more quickly. To use it, you just have to go to google.com on your device, and enable Handwrite in your Search Settings. After that, you can draw a few letters anywhere on the page, and after a moment pause, the text will be dumped into the search bar, with autocomplete options, and the keyboard. Looks really convenient for when you're running around, or know exactly what you're looking for, but don't want to type out a full name. Plus, it's not like mobile keyboards are thaaaat much better than what you'd get with your finger.
