Here Is the Entire 132-Page Samsung Internal Report Apple Released into Evidence Today [Apple Vs Samsung]

Image
Aug 8, 2012 12:20 AM   It's quite a whopper, 132-pages of envy and scheming. In sum, this internal document compiled by Samsung is a long, slobbering iPhone jealousy fest. A highly detailed and deliberate comparison of Samsung's Galaxy against Apple's coveted iPhone. Reinventing the wheel is so damn hard . Hmmph. 44 [AllThingsD] View the original article here This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Google's Crazy 1000Mbps Fiber Internet Connection Is Out Today [Video]

Image
Google's unbelievably fast new 1000Mbps fiber is finally live in Kansas City today. The service has no bandwidth cap, no overage fees, and it'll come with 1TB (!!) of free cloud storage. In addition to the blazing broader than broadband internet, Google's also got a new TV service called Google Fiber Television. The service is a lot like Google TV, but cleaner, and it can record up to 500 hours of HD programs. There will be remote apps for iOS and Android, both of which will have voice control, and at some point they'll get video streaming as well. The TV package will have all broadcast networks, along with hundreds of "Fiber channels". Oh, and the default remote? A Nexus 7. Which you get for free when you sign up for a TV package. There is a $300 construction fee for installing the fiber at your house, though. But Google is waiving that fee for new customers at the start. The internet and TV package, along with the 1TB of storage, is $120 per month. An inte...

Earliest iPhone 4 and iPad Prototypes Look Pretty Ridiculous Today [Apple]

Image
Jul 26, 2012 6:30 PM   The iPhone 4 and iPad we know today are gadgetry in the extreme—digital pieces of paper, if you will. Nothing garish, nothing in excess. And that's mostly true in their prototypes! But some of these leaked early iPhone and iPad prototypes? They're bonkers. One early iPhone 4 prototype shows edges and angles galore, with diagonal corners, and one of the iPad prototypes even has a kickstand. Yes. A kickstand. You've got to see these. The pictures of these iPhone and iPad prototypes were found in court documents by BuzzFeed and the Verge. Not all the prototypes were strange though. Some prototypes actually look like they'd be real products. Above, there's an iPod Nano-inspired iPhone 4 prototype made with brushed aluminum and complete with rounded corners. Another iPhone prototype labeled n90 actually looks amazing—impossibly thin (though thicker in the middle) and skinny, it looks very much like a delightful candybar. Other prototypes look lik...

The Internet Was Really Shitty Today (But I Still Love It) [Rant]

Image
What the hell happened to the Internet today? Google Talk? Down. Twitter? Crashed. Messages? Completely awful. Chrome? Blowing up my laptop. The weather? Shitty. My hangover? Slight but smelly. That all made me very grumpy. Did the entire internet decide to shit the bed on Thursday July 26th 2012? Did it think we wouldn't notice? How come we never got the memo? Well, go to hell Internet, we don't need you! Wait no sorry. That's a lie. We need you. Badly. It's sort of sad, really, how connected we are. Sad that it makes us so happy. I woke up in the morning like I always do, wanting to go right back to sleep. But like any self respecting kid in adult-sized clothing trying to avoid being exposed as a no-talent hack, you power on, dropping GIF bombs to your snickering co-workers and hearing stories about who humped who on hump day over Gchat. It's a morning routine as normal as sipping hot water that ran through roasted beans. But today? Ugh. How did the internet expe...
