So we couldn't recommend the cables, but maybe the convenience of this new triple-headed all-in-one design might make this cable worth carrying. It features the exact same flat ribbon design of AViiQ's previous cables, but incorporates a rotating head on the end opposite the USB connector—giving you Apple dock connector, miniUSB, and microUSB options all in a single cable. When you have the luxury of working from home you're gonna want to put your feet up, and Coalesse's forthcoming Hosu lounger lets you do just that. It easily transformers from a chair to a lounger by just flipping over a hinged cushion, and pockets located on the sides and back mean you don't need to waste money on a filing cabinet when outfitting your home office. The Hosu also seems to be the first seating solution that acknowledges the existence of charging cables, and so provides strategically placed channels to tuck them away so they're not just hanging all over the place. Aug 7, 2012 11:20 AM   Google has earned a patent for screen unlock that uses eye-tracking information, meaning when you finally get your hands on a pair of its augmented reality specs, you could access them with an eye roll. Just don't let your mom see you do that because she will be PISSED. Your eyes would follow a moving object, probably in some kind of pre-determined pattern, and then you'd be in. Look left. Look right. Now look up. Sounds like a trip to the optometrist's office. The patent applies to a wearable computing system, and though it doesn't explicitly say it's for Google Glasses, it's pretty obvious. And this gives us another small clue as to what the frames will actually do beyond the overhyped BMX/parachuter stunt we saw twice at I/O We'll see, just not until 2014. Despite some very clever speculation in Slate recently about Amazon's same-day delivery plans, that particular dream may go unfulfilled for most of us. At least, if Amazon CFO Tom Szkutak has anything to say about. Szkutzk, speaking today during Amazon's conference call to discuss earnings, was asked directly about his company's same-day delivery ambitions. The stars are aligning, after all; as Amazon settles tax grievances with more and more states, it's able to open more and more distribution centers, leading to smaller and smaller delivery windows. In fact, same-day delivery is already feasible in most of its major markets. But nationwide? Not so much, according to Szkutzk: "In terms of same-day, we don't see a way to do that on a broad scale economically." There was no hint of a lingering "yet" at the end of that sentence. That's not to say that Amazon's not going to continuing investing great gobs of money in its delivery infrastruc...
