We can stream just about every minute of every event of this year's Olympics. The future! So why does it feel so much like a step backward?
For those of us who know how to fire up the internet machine, but don't quite have the knowhow to set up a stream to the nice big HDTV, we're reduced to crowding around a 13-inch screen like we're listening to Joe Louis fight Max Schmelling in the 40s.
